To celebrate the launch of Golden Gate Park, An A to Z Adventure, author Marta Lindsey and illustrator Michael Wertz put together a live adventure with lots of songs, stories, and silliness.

It was a fun and wild ride around the park for kids and adults, and if you missed it, you can watch a recording.

The online celebration included:

  • A special greeting from Phil Ginsburg, head of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department

  • A reading of the book with a look at some of the park’s secrets

  • A performance of Golden Gate Park-themed songs written by songwriter Andy Cowitt and performed by The Thinking Caps

  • A mini-drawing lesson

  • A showcase of kids’ art about Golden Gate Park
